π Calendar & Festivals
A whole calendar in one roll: the reckoning and this year's name, the months and the days of the week, the seasons, the moons and their phases, and a festival for every month with what the party can do there.
The calendar tables are the Gazette's own. Festival checks use the ability checks of the System Reference Document 5.1 (CC-BY 4.0); moon phases are the same as the Travel tool's.
The address bar holds the calendar, so π Copy Link shares it. A new naming style renames the months and days but keeps the festivals; a new week length or climate keeps the months; another moon keeps the ones you have.
Holy days from the Pantheon tab can go on the calendar too.
βͺ Pantheon
A heaven's worth of gods in one roll: what each one rules, their domain and alignment, holy symbol, holy day, what the faithful must and mustn't do, the temple and its priests, what they want from adventurers, and who they can't stand.
The pantheon tables are the Gazette's own. Domains use the cleric domain names (the System Reference Document 5.1, CC-BY 4.0, details the Life domain); any god works with any cleric.
The address bar holds the pantheon, so π Copy Link shares it. More gods keeps the ones you have; a new shape keeps the gods but changes who rules and who feuds; a new naming style only renames them.
ποΈ Factions
The powers of a town, a city, or a kingdom in one roll: guilds, cults, noble houses, thieves' rings, knightly orders, temples, mages, and sellswords. Each with a goal, a leader and lieutenants, a symbol, resources, a secret, rivals and allies, and a job for the party.
The faction tables are the Gazette's own. Leaders and lieutenants come from the Town Square's NPC generator, and each π button opens that person there in full.
The address bar holds the factions, so π Copy Link shares it. More factions keeps the ones you have; a new first faction changes that one (and any faction of that kind it trades places with); a new place changes only the numbers.
Temples and orders can follow the gods of the Pantheon tab.
π History & Timeline
The ages of the world in one roll, each following from the last: foundings, empires, golden ages, wars, plagues, falls, and dark ages. Each with who mattered, the faith of the day, and the ruins, grudges, relics, and customs it left behind for the party to find today.
The history tables are the Gazette's own; the people who mattered are named by the Town Square's name tables.
The address bar holds the history, so π Copy Link shares it. More ages keeps the ones you have; a new span changes only the years; a new beginning rewrites everything after it.
The ages can name the gods of the Pantheon tab and date the factions of the Factions tab.
ποΈ Town Generator
A whole settlement in one roll, from a hamlet to a metropolis: who runs it, the watch, the temple and its god, the factions, its districts and buildings, the people worth knowing, its taverns and shops, the laws, the trouble, the rumors, and a job for the party.
The town tables are the Gazette's own. Its people come from the Town Square's NPC generator, its taverns and its quest from the DM Toolbox, its shops from the Shop page, and its rumors from the Tavern's rumor mill; every link opens the same one there.
The address bar holds the town, so π Copy Link shares it. A new size keeps the name, the temple, and the first people; a new place keeps the size and the people; new times change only the taverns, the shops, and what fines and bribes cost.
The temple and the factions can follow the gods of the Pantheon tab.
ποΈ Dungeons & Sites
A keyed adventure site in one roll: a crypt, a lost mine, a wizard's tower, a sunken temple, a bandit fort, a monster lair, or a ruined keep. You get its story, a map, and a key to every room, with a feature in each, the foes who hold the place, traps, wandering monsters, and a hoard at the end.
The site tables are the Gazette's own. Its foes come from the DM Toolbox's Encounter tab (monsters from the System Reference Document 5.1, XP budgets from the SRD 5.2, both CC-BY 4.0), and every fight opens there; the hoard opens in the Loot generator. Trap DCs and damage follow the SRD 5.1 trap tables.
The address bar holds the site, so π Copy Link shares it. A new party level or size keeps the map, the rooms, and where the fights and traps are, and changes only the monsters, DCs, and damage; a new site size keeps the name, the story, and the first rooms.
A site can be dated to an age of the History tab.
π Continent Generator
A map of a whole continent in one roll: coasts and islands, mountains, rivers running to the sea, forests, deserts, and swamps, climate bands from north to south, and the nations on it, each with its ruler, its towns, its exports, and a feud with a neighbor. Then the roads between the towns and the ruins, lairs, and towers worth the trip.
The map and its tables are the Gazette's own. Rulers come from the Town Square's NPC generator; every town opens on the Town tab inside its realm, every place worth the trip on the Sites tab, and every road or journey in the DM Toolbox's Travel tab with its terrain and miles filled in.
The address bar holds the map, so π Copy Link shares it. A new number of nations keeps the land; a new mix of land and sea raises or lowers the sea over the same ground; a new size is a new map.
π Campaign Notebook
Everything you save from the other tabs and the Town Square's NPCs, in one place: a link back to each roll, your notes on it, and the threads between them (the town that keeps this pantheon's gods, the history those factions came out of). Export the whole world as a file to keep it safe or carry it to another browser.
The notebook lives in this browser only: nothing is sent anywhere, and clearing your browser's site data clears it too, so πΎ Export now and then.
Each entry keeps the link that rolls it again, so a saved town comes back exactly as it was. Saving links a roll to the saved rolls it uses (a town or a history on a saved pantheon's gods, a history that dates saved factions); link anything else by hand under π Notes and links.
π Import adds a notebook file to this one; entries you already have keep your notes and gain the file's.
