Everything you type is kept in this browser only, one handout of each kind (πΎ Back up everything). π² Roll One fills the handout from a new roll: a Town Square NPC for a wanted poster, a quest for a letter or a bounty board, a shop for a price list. The π Make a Handout buttons on the NPC, Quest, and Shop results do the same with the roll on screen.
π Copy Link shares the roll a handout was filled from, so it opens the handout as it was first filled, without your edits; a handout you typed yourself is shared with π Copy Text. Price lists use the Market Exchange prices from when they were filled. ποΈ Ink saver prints on plain white.
How the Handout Maker works
Four kinds of handout: a wanted poster, a letter, a bounty board, and a shop's price list. Fill in the form and the preview beside it changes as you type, or press π² Roll One to fill it from a fresh roll and change what you like. π¨οΈ Print prints the handout alone, and ποΈ Ink saver prints it on plain white to spare your ink.
At the table
- The party rides into town and their faces are on the wall. Roll a wanted poster, put a player character's name on it, and set the reward insultingly low.
- The adventure starts with a letter: a patron's offer, a warning slipped under the door, or a note found on a body.
- Pin a bounty board outside the tavern with a few jobs and let the players fight over which one to take.
- Hand over the price list of the shop they're standing in, so the haggling starts from numbers on paper.
Works with
The π Make a Handout buttons on the NPC Generator, the Toolbox's Quest tab, and the Shop Generator open here with that roll already filled in. Price lists use the prices of the Market Exchange.
