"Every world needs a calendar. Mostly so the bards know when to be late."

🏚️ Dungeons & Sites

A keyed adventure site in one roll: a crypt, a lost mine, a wizard's tower, a sunken temple, a bandit fort, a monster lair, or a ruined keep. You get its story, a map, and a key to every room, with a feature in each, the foes who hold the place, traps, wandering monsters, and a hoard at the end.

πŸ—ΊοΈ Battle map for a VTT (PNG)

The map as a picture on a 5-foot grid, one square to a corridor's width, ready for Owlbear Rodeo, Foundry, Roll20, or any virtual tabletop. The rooms are squared up to the grid. The file name ends in the map's size in squares (for example 52x38), the number your VTT asks for.

The site tables are the Gazette's own. Its foes come from the DM Toolbox's Encounter tab (monsters from the System Reference Document 5.1, XP budgets from the SRD 5.2, both CC-BY 4.0), and every fight opens there; the hoard opens in the Loot generator. Trap DCs and damage follow the SRD 5.1 trap tables.
The address bar holds the site, so πŸ”— Copy Link shares it. A new party level or size keeps the map, the rooms, and where the fights and traps are, and changes only the monsters, DCs, and damage; a new site size keeps the name, the story, and the first rooms.
A site can be dated to an age of the History tab.

How the Dungeon Generator works

Pick the kind of site (a crypt, a lost mine, a wizard's tower, a sunken temple, a bandit fort, a monster lair, or a ruined keep), its size (5 to 12 rooms), and the party's level and size. You get the site's story, a map, and a key to every room with a feature in each, the foes who hold the place, traps, wandering monsters, and a hoard at the end. Foes are SRD 5.1 monsters picked to suit the site and the party, and trap DCs and damage follow the SRD 5.1 trap tables. A new party level keeps the map and the rooms and changes only the monsters, DCs, and damage.

Works with

Fights open in the Encounter Builder and the Initiative Tracker, the hoard in the Loot Generator, and monsters' blocks in the Bestiary. The party starts from the Party tab, and the Continent Map Generator opens its ruins, lairs, and towers here.
