πŸ›οΈ Factions

The powers of a town, a city, or a kingdom in one roll: guilds, cults, noble houses, thieves' rings, knightly orders, temples, mages, and sellswords. Each with a goal, a leader and lieutenants, a symbol, resources, a secret, rivals and allies, and a job for the party.

The faction tables are the Gazette's own. Leaders and lieutenants come from the Town Square's NPC generator, and each 🎭 button opens that person there in full.
The address bar holds the factions, so πŸ”— Copy Link shares it. More factions keeps the ones you have; a new first faction changes that one (and any faction of that kind it trades places with); a new place changes only the numbers.
Temples and orders can follow the gods of the Pantheon tab.

How the Faction Generator works

Pick how many factions, the kind of the first one, and whether they share a town, a city, or a kingdom. You get guilds, cults, noble houses, thieves' rings, knightly orders, temples, mages, and sellswords, each with a goal, a leader and lieutenants, a symbol, resources, a secret, rivals and allies, and a job for the party. The leaders and lieutenants are full NPCs: each 🎭 button opens that person on the NPC page. More factions keeps the ones you have; a new place changes only the numbers.

Works with

Leaders open in the NPC Generator and their families in the Family Tree Generator. Temples follow the Pantheon, the History Generator dates their founding, and the Town Generator rolls its own. A Progress Clock tracks their plans.
